Ghosts of Gone Birds

GHOSTS OF GONE BIRDS was an art project dedicated to "breathing life back into the birds we have lost – so we don’t lose anymore" Engaging in and raising awareness of the plight of endagered birds as well as those we have lost.  I took part in the Camden Migration Festival, "a celebration of creative resurrection" at which I spent a day painting as many extinct birds as I could  often from badly stuffed exhibits and blurred photographs which is all that remains of the birds, most with compelling stories of their demise often at the hands of humans.
